1. Lima / Huaraz – Chiquian

the transfer will be with the luxury bus of EL RAPIDO, taking the Pan-American high way to the north side from Lima until the Lima and Ancash department’s boundary in the district of Paramonga, from here we’ll start to climb the Cordillera Negra in its west side with direction to the highest pass from today Conococha 4500 masl. Here we’ll find a small peasant village called Conococaha next to this village we will find a lake with the same name. From here we can already appreciate the views where the Cordillera Blanca starts, and just 50 kilometers aprox south from the Cordillera Blanca lays Cordillera Huayhuash. From Conocoha we will drive in the east side for about 15 km, called Mojon, so we will appreciate Huayhuash mountain range complete, then continue going down unpaved zig-zag trail until to arrive Chiquian 3450 masl. Then transfer immediately to the GRAND HOTEL HUAYHUASH, welcome pisco souer, dinner and overnight.


2. Chiquian – Llamac – Jahuacocha

After the breakfast in GRAND HOTEL HUAYHUASH, We will take our private bus and start to go down until Timpoc 2800 masl aprox, From here we will start again going-up along the Llamac river until the peasant town Llamac which lies at 3300 masl. Then we will start going up until the pampa llamac pass, a moderate difficult path very hot and we recommend taking plenty of mineral water, after about 3 hours we will get the Pass, here we will have impressionist first view of Yerupaja and the Huayhuash Mountains, we will start going down to the pacllon valley followed by the pacllon river, then after few hours walking we will arrive to the Base of Huayhuash Mountains next to the Jahuacocha Lakes. Wonderful place where we will set our camping, here we will visit Delao Huaranga’s huts; he will receive us with a gentle treating just being friendly or to offer us the cool bear and soda waters. It’s hard to find at this altitude the famous Coca Cola but tourists can find here in Mr Delao’s Humble hut, that he sells to the visitors or to people who camp in Jahuacocha, of course the tourists who want to know more about the Jahuacocha and the mountains Mr Delao Huaranga will provide the information and tourists enjoy asking for the lifestyle in the mountain as Mr Delao Huaranga’s living with his lot of sheep. Overnight in Jahuacocha at 4066 masl


3. Jahuacocha – Huayllapa

After the breakfast in Jahuacocha, we will start hiking up to the small valley of Huacrish, then we will continue in the right side of the river and hike-up the Huacrish hill and after about 3 hours we will get the first pass of Yaucha 4800masl. Then walk down for about one hour, and start going up to the next pass Tapush 4800 masl, from here we will descent until Huayllapa village in total hours of walking 7 hours. Arrive to small village of Huayllapa at 3500masl dinner and overnight in the village.


4. Huayllapa – Cutatambo

After the breakfast in the morning in Huayllapa, we will start hiking along the Huayllapa river rocky trail, we will have lunch in the middle of the trail, and we will follow the Huayllapa river flanks until to arrive to Cutatambo camp site, trekking time around 6 hours, dinner and overnight at Cutatambo, place where Joe Simpson made a film TOUCHING THE VOID.


5. Cutatambo – rest day

After the breakfast in Cutatambo, we will start exploring the routes of Joe Simpson, and visiting wonderful lakes of Sarapo, and Siula, we will explore the scenery where the film TOUCHOING THE VOID was made, in the early afternoon we will come back to our camping site, dinner and overnight in cutatambo


6. Cutatambo – Explore Siula

Today we will have rest day, we will organize with the guide to explore in the right side of the Siula lake, and get the ice and walk in the ice (optional) and we can enjoy fishingm or engaged in other activieties in the area where the film TOUCHING THE VOID was made, dinner and overnight in Cutatambo.


7. Cutatambo – Huayllapa

After the breakfast in the Camp site in cutatambo we will start hiking down along the Huayllapa river, and after hiking for about 3 hours we will get the village of Huayllapa Stopping for the lunch in Huayllapa continue, Huayllapa is the small isolated peasant village lies at 3700 masl. Citizens from this village made this small town even not having electricity or car trail arriving, so you can wonder how they made this village that now there is a school, first aid medical house you’ll have the answer visiting this village, here the small Andean shops will provide us soda drinks, bears, and first house necessities, dinner and overnight in Huayllapa.


8. Huayllapa – Cashpapampa

After the breakfast in Huayllapa we will start hiking up 2 hours hiking we will get the Huatiac camp site, then continue hiking-up to the pass of Tapush 4800masl, after to get the pass, we will walk down easy trail, we will arrive to the camp place early afternoon, here we will have plenty of time to relax its considered rest half day. From here we will feel that we are almost round the Huayhuash trekking, over night at 4400 masl


9. Cashpapampa – Jahuacocha

after breakfast as always in the morning we’ll start our trekking moderate going-up to the Yaucha Pass 4800 masl, in two hours we’ll stay in the pass, after to rest for making pictures, we’ll continue going down along the Huacrish ravine for aprox three or four hours, and suddenly we’ll be surprised by a beautiful panoramic landscape. The Jahuacocha lake in the base of the mountains Jirishanca, Yerupaja, and Rondoy, beautiful green color lake that lies at 4066 masl. Where is our camp place, from our camp place we can enjoy the spectacular avalanches coming down from the base of the mountains Jirishanca. Next to our camp, we’ll find a typical Mountain hut for sheepherders; and his owner Mr Delao Huaranga will receive us with a gentle treating just being friendly or to offer us the cool bear and soda waters. 10. Jahuacocha – rest day

This day is for free tour our guide will explain the tourists many alternatives, as fishing, go to the upper lake Solterococha, walk round the lakes, stay at the lake washing, etc. etc. the passengers will have coordinated the day before to provide the box lunch and others. Our staff will prepare the dinner of success of this trekking


11. Jahuacocha – Llamac – Chiquian

this time we will feel that we have to leave the most beautiful long trekking, we’ll go-up easy walking to the Pampallamac place where we’ll say good bye to the Huayhuash Mountains, a few meters down we’ll have lunch, after resting for a few minutes we’ll go-down to Llamac town arriving at 3 or 4 pm aprox here our car will be waiting for us and will drive us back to Chiquian, arriving around 4 pm, direct to the GRAND HOTEL HUAYHUASH, dinner and overnight in Chiquian


12. Chiquian – Lima / Huaraz

After the breakfast in the hotel the passengers will aboard the EL RAPIDO bus and drive 8 hours to Lima to the Hotel or to the Airport
