1. Lima / Huaraz – Chiquian

the transfer will be with the luxury bus of EL RAPIDO, taking the Pan-American high way to the north side from Lima until the Lima and Ancash department’s boundary in the district of Paramonga, from here we’ll start to climb the Cordillera Negra in its west side with direction to the highest pass from today Conococha 4500 masl. Here we’ll find a small peasant village called Conococaha next to this village we will find a lake with the same name. From here we can already appreciate the views where the Cordillera Blanca starts, and just 50 kilometers aprox south from the Cordillera Blanca lays Cordillera Huayhuash. From Conocoha we will drive in the east side for about 15 km, called Mojon, so we will appreciate Huayhuash mountain range complete, then continue going down unpaved zig-zag trail until to arrive Chiquian 3450 masl. Then transfer immediately to the GRAND HOTEL HUAYHUASH, welcome pisco souer, dinner and overnight.


2. Chiquian – Llamac – Cuartelhuain

After the breakfast in GRAND HOTEL HUAYHUASH, We will take our private bus and start to go down until Timpoc 2800 masl aprox, From here we will start again going-up along the Llamac river until the peasant town Llamac which lies at 3300 masl. Then we will continue up to Pocpa village, then to Palca mining companym, we will have lunch here where the car will leave us, and after the lunch in Palca we will start hiking to our campo site arriving early afternoon, dinner and overnight in Cuartelhuain 4100 masl.


3. Cuartelhuain – Mitutcocha

In the morning after the breakfast we’ll get ready our things and at 8 am we’ll start our trek, this time it’s going to be a bit difficult because the climbing to the Cacanan 4700masl. pass will take us about 2 or 3 hours. From the pass we’ll go down then we’ll go-up aprox 30 minutes, we’ll have lunch after the small climb, We’ll take the alternative trail to get early the camping place and not for walking the same route the next day, in this route the passengers will appreciate the Andean rabbits called Vizcachas. Followed to catch by local citizens by its delicious meat, so once we have arrived to our camping place early we’ll have time to go fishing around the lake while our cook prepares the dinner. We will camp at 4200 masl.


4. Mitucocha – Carhuacocha

As always after our breakfast and packing our things, we’ll start our trekking at 8 am today it is going to be easy. After 3 hours walking we’ll reach the Carhuac pass 4650 masl. where we’ll have lunch, We’ll walk always enjoying the white peaked mountains such as Yerupaja, Jirishanca, and Siula, we’ll get our camp place aprox at 3 or 4 pm. We’ll be surprised by a beautiful lake, keeping the mountain’s silhouettes green colored, so we will have prepared our camp place in the special place facing to the lake. we will have camped at 4138 masl.


5. Carhuacocha – Huayhuash

At 8 am after breakfast we start our trekking, relaxed after the rest day before, after going-up aprox for one hour we’ll get easy trail even going-up but not so difficult to get the Carnicero Pass at 4600, after the pass there are scenic places to have lunch next to the Carnicero lakes, from here a few kilometers going-down we’ll arrive to our camping place, that’s just next to the Jurau Lake or Huayhuash, PERU BERGSPORT always use this place due to its scenic, beautiful place faced to the beautiful mountains. We’ll have camped here at 4350 masl.


6. Huayhuash – Viconga – Pumarinri

After the breakfast we’ll continue our trekking. Easy going-up to the Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass. From here we’ll go-down to the camp place Viconga to have lunch next to the hotsprings in viconga, we will have time to enjoy the natural hot springs of Viconga then continue walking down to Pumarinri where we will be visit by local highland children. We will camp in Pumarinri at 4100 masl, dinner and overnight


7. Pumarinri – Cajatambo

After the breakfast in Pumarinri camp site we will start hiking down along the Pumarinri river, after to walk for about 2 hours we will start going-up to the pass of Cajatambo 4150masl, from here we will have nice panoramic views to the both sides of the Valleys of Cajatambo, we will observe Cajatambo village down us deep to go down and we will start walking down zig-zag path finally arriving to Cajatambo after 3 hours walking, arriving around 3pm, here we will use basic lodging house, we will find basic restaurant, our guide will ask to the owner of the lodging house to prepare our dinner taking care of clean and safe cook. We will find basic shops and basic internet, Dinner and overnight in Cajatambo at 3500 masl.


8. Cajatambo – Lima /Huaraz

Today after the breakfast in the lodging house we will aboard the private bus and drive zig-zag unpaved dusty trail until to get the Pan-American highway for about 4 hours, we will pass by several villages and climate will be changing as we go down because we have to go down to the sea level, once to get the Pan-American highway we will continue driving to Huaraz or Lima comfortable paved way, transfer to the selected Hotel in Lima or Huaraz
